New Topic - From You Fridays

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
I've been thinking of ways to keep things "new and fresh" on here and I came up with this idea of "From You Fridays".  Each Friday I hope to post things that I got from you guys - my beloved readers <3 XOXO
So, if you have something you'd like me to share just click on the "email me" icon on my sidebar and let me know.  Of course, if the deal is time sensitive I won't wait until Friday to post it.  And I always give a "shout out" to you for the tip - I know, I know, you'll feel famous to get your name on here, right?  ;-)

Sweet dreams loveys!

Harris Teeter Deals - 9/30-10/6

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

OK, so still no super double coupons...... whatever HT!!!  I am busy this week anyway!
And apparantly I'm not impressed with several grocery store sale ads this week.  What the heck??  Good thing I have some food to hold me over until next week.

Game Day Meal
8 pieces of fried chicken
1 lb Potato Sala
1 lb Macaroni Salad
1 Gallon Fresh Foods Market Tea or Lemonade
Total - $7.99

Just because I'm not loving the deals doesn't mean everyone else won't.  So, I'm linking you up to Frugal in Virginia.  Dana has a big run down of their deals for this week.

Here's something that I hope makes you giggle...  My 5 year old passed out in my bed earlier and I just left him there since I'm wrapped up in blogging.  I'm here typing away and I keep hearing him smack his lips and I'm thinking "Did he go to bed really thirsty or something???".  So I finally decide to go over and check on him and he fell asleep with gum in his mouth - and he's chewing it in his sleep!  I grabbed it out of his mouth and he woke up just long enough to give me a dirty look.  Oh well, maybe chewing that sugar free gum in his sleep will make up for the fact that he fell asleep without brushing his teeth tonight!

Safeway Deals - 9/30-10/6

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

Safeway ad doesn't look too amazing to me this week.  There are only 3 deals that look good to me.  Maybe more will come up during the week - if so, I'll post them.

Kellogg's Raisin Bran or Froot Loops  - $1.49 each when you buy 5 or more
Buy 6 Raisin Bran, use 3 $1.50 off 2 printable coupon (you may need to print from 2 computers)
= $0.75 per box

Ball Park Beef Franks  - BOGO
use (1) $1 off 2 coupon
= about $1.75 each

Pillsbury Cake or Brownie Mix  - Buy 2 get 3 FREE

Mamma's gonna be stocking up on some cake and brownie mix :)

Giant Deals - 10/2-8

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

Giant's ad this week has 4 coupons good to double any $1 coupon - they have to be combined with a minimum $15 purchase, so I suggest you use all 4 in one trip to get your best deal (unless you shop at Giant often thruout the week and always spend at least $15).  Also, remember Giant doubles coupons up to $0.99 every day.  Here are the best deals I see for this coming week...

Wisk Liquid Laundry Detergent - BOGO
= as low as $2.25 each

Progresso Soup - 10 for $10
combine with $0.50 off 2 coupon
= $0.50 each

Pumpkins 3 for $15 (not sure of their size, but it says "Jack O'Lantern Pumpkins)

Pop Tarts 12 pack - 2 for $5
use (1) $1 off 2 coupon from Sunday paper + Giant coupon doubler from flyer
=$1.50 each

Pillsbury Crescent rolls - 2 for $4
use (1) $1 off 2 printable coupon + Giant coupon doubler from flyer
= $1 each

Pillsbury Toaster Strudel  - 2 for $5
use (2) $1 off 1 printable coupon + (2) Giant coupon doubler fro flyer
= $0.50 each

Coupons are Popping Up EVERYWHERE!

Is it just me or is everyone mailing out coupons lately?  I am loving every minute of it!  The other day I got some fabulous coupons from Safeway - including FREE Safeway Pasta, FREE Safeway Pasta Sauce, FREE SAfeway Jumbo taco shells, a few other $ off coupns and a $5 off $25 purchase coupon!  You guessed right, I am going to stack these coupons together and get some great deals.  Today I got coupons from Giant including $1 off 1 pkg of Keebler Right Bites, FREE Giant baby carrots, FREE Giant mini raisins, $1 off Juicky Juice juice boxes and more.  I guess more and more retailers are realizing that coupons and great deals are what brings in business these days.

This all got me thinking...  if you don't have a customer loyalty card (ie:  Harris Teeter VIC Card, Safeway Club Card, Giant Bonus Card, etc) make sure you get one the next time you're at the grocery store!  If you already have customer loyalty cards, but you haven't received any coupons lately, make sure you go online to verify that your address is correct.  Even if Safeway isn't your favorite store you can still use that $5 off $25 coupon at Harris Teeter or Giant.

Speaking of coupons in the mail - this one was a big suprise - we got a UPS package today and there was a small unlabeled UPS box with our package.  What do you think was in it???  Coupons - online promo code coupns and evena book of manufacturer coupons!  I went thru them and found a few good deals I thought I'd share...
  • Bed Bath & Beyond - first time email subscribers get a 20% off one item in-store savings certificate.  Sign up HERE.
  • Sephora.com - Receive a free Philosophy five-pice Miracle Worker Kit wth any purchase of $25 or more.  Enter code MIRACLEU at checkout.
  • FTD - Save $15 on any purchase.  Just click HERE or call 1-800-send-ftd and metion promo 20800.

New Poll - Please Vote

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
Hey there!  Not much fabulous going on today, but I did post a new poll on my side bar - please vote.  I want to know which stores you shop at to play the "drug store game".  If you haven't heard the term "drug store game" it simply means that you shop using their rewards or rebate programs and get lots of items for FREE or super-cheap.  Why do I want to know?  Well, I am planning an upcoming contest and I am considering a gift card to one of the stores as one of the prizes :)  So if you want a good prize make sure you vote!

Nitey-nite!  Tomorrow is Wednesday, so grocery deals will be posted!

New Printable Coupons

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

Expect to see a few posts like this in the next few days.  A lot of the online coupons websites update their coupons around the end/beginning of the month.  Right now you can check out the new printable Target coupons that are over at afullcup.com.

Afullcup.com also has a really cool feature that I just recently discovered.  If you go to "coupons" on the top of the page and then go down to "printable coupons" you will find a huge database of virtually every printable coupon that you can find online!  You can even search for an item by typing it in the field for "description" - love it, love it, love it!  Check it out HERE, I bet you'll love it too.

Another CVS Deal.... You know I'm always on the look out!

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

So my day started off with me having to go pick up my son from school because he has a spot of ringworm on his arm (EWWW!) and then I found out that he can't go back until after having 24 hrs of medicine (lovely, so no school tomorrow either).  Needless to say I had to pay a copay for the doctor and my deductable for his medicine....  BUT, I had a CVS coupon for a $25 gift card with a new or transferred prescription :)  Cha-ching, he-he-he, so now my day was getting a bit better!  So, I searched the sale ad yet again and found this deal that I hadn't even considered....

Buy $25 worth of eligible Proctor & Gamble products and get $10 ECB
There are several things included in this promo, but I decided to go for laundry products.
Tide detergent is on sale for $6
Bounce dryer bars are on sale for $4
Tide stain release is on sale for $4 - I decided not to go with this because there are mixed reviews on tide.com - one lady actually said it made the colors in her clothes fade.

So, here's what I did:
Tide detergent x3 = $18
Bounce dryer bars x2  = $8
Total = $26
used $5 off $25 purchase from taking CVS Flu IQ Quiz I told you about HERE
used (1) $1 off 1 Bounce dryer bar coupon (man I wish I would have cut more out!)
used $6 ECB I had in my wallet from the other day
NEW Total = $14 and I got $10 ECB back, so my net was $4 for all that!!!

Now, there are $1 off Tide coupons out there - I have just been passing them over since I rarely buy Tide because I just refuse to pay more than $2 for detergent (Yes, I'm cheap and I'm proud!).  So, without any ECBs you could used 3 tide coupons for $1 off 1 and 2 Bounce dryer bar coupons for $1 off one - and don't forget that $5 off $25 purchase coupon - and you would only pay $15 and get $10 ECB - putting you at a net of $5, that's $1 each!!!

Have fun with this deal - I'm doing laundry right now ;-)

Drug Store Shopping - My trip 9/27

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on , ,
Today I figured I'd better run out to CVS and Walgreens to grab some deals while things are still in stock.  Here's what I got...

CVS:
Vaseline Int. Care Sheer Infusions Lotion $7.99
6 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - $0.89 each, buy 2 get 1 free = $3.58
- $1.50 Vaseline Int. Care coupon
- (2) BOGO Reese's Cup coupons (savings of $0.89 x 2 = $1.79 total savings)
- $7 ECBs from previous purchases
= grand total of $1.76!!

Walgreens:
*Walgreens will only let you use 1 coupon per item.  They consider RR a coupon, so in order to use coupons and RRs you sometimes have to buy a cheap "filler" item such as a pack of gum to get your best deal.

~Transaction 1~
Vaseline Int. Care Sheer Infusions Lotion $6.99
Robitussin DM to-go 2-pack $2.49
Trident gum $1.29
-$1.50 Vaseline Int. Care coupon
-$4 RR from previous purchase
-$5 RR from previous purchase
=Total $0.65
Earned additional $7 and $2.5 in RRs

~Transaction 2~
Oral B 1-2-3 toothbrush $3
Chap stick green tea $2.99
Herbal Essences Hairspray $2.99
-$1 Herbal Essences coupon
-$7 and $1 RR from previous purchases
= Total $1.28
Earned $2, $3 and $3 RRs

~Transaction 3~
Gillette Fusion Razor $8.99
Halls Soothers $1
Dentek Floss $2
Blue Diamond Almonds, 2 packages, $3.49 (BOGO sale)
-$0.75 Blue Diamond coupon
-$4 Gillette Fusion coupon
-$3 and $3 RR from previous purchases
= Total $4.62
Earned $6, $1 and $2 RRs to use later

All in all, I spent under $7 out of pocket at Walgreens and I have about $15 in RRs left to use on next week's sales (I earned $26.50 in these 3 transactions, but I used some of them today also).  I hope this scenario makes sense to everyone and that it's helping you understand the amazing deals you can get at drug stores when you know how to play the game.  I may go back to Walgreen's tomorrow and use my $6 RR to get another bottle of lotion (and another $6 RR!).  I'm a little OCD about lotion so I need to stock up while I can.  I'll probably get some additionals of other items too :)

= FREE plus overage

Reese's 8 packs $0.88
use BOGO coupon
= $0.44 each

Scope Outlast Mouthwash $3.49
Get $1.50 ECB (limit 2)
use (1) $1 off 1 coupon

use (2) $1 off 1 coupons
= $1.75 each

Almay Mascara $5.99
Get $3 ECB (limit 1)
use (1) $1 off 1 coupon
= $1.99
*UPDATE - The cashier I got wouldn't accept my coupon (this is getting old people!!!).  The coupon says "Save $1.00 off any ALMAY cosmetic product" - under that it says "Almay smart shade collection" with some pictures.  I figured the pictures were advertising their new line because there's also a picture of their eye make-up remover pads...  Anyway, the dingy cashier said I had to buy something from the smart shade collection to use the coupon.  I'm getting so sick of this that I may actually start emailing manufacturers when I have problems with their coupons.  RIDONKULOUS!!
Reach Toothbrushes (2-4 pk.), Listerine Total Care or Reach Floss, $3.99
Get $1 ECB (limit 3)
use (1) $2 off 1 Listerine coupon
-or- there have been a ton of Reach coupons out lately
= final price varies

You can even pop over to the CVS website, take a quick FLU IQ survey and get a coupon good for $5 off a $25 purchase!  This should help you make some extra $money$ off of the above deals :)
Remember, you must have a CVS Extra Care card to get these deals (free to register for one).  ECBs print with your receipt as "coupons" you can use towards future purchases.

Smooches & Huggies

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

What are "smooches & huggies" you ask...  Well, it's a silly "code" between some of my fabulous girlfriends & me for kisses & hugs.  I usually am extremely goofy & lighthearted on here, but I'm going to get just a tiny bit deep for a moment.  See, it's been a long week - you know, the kind that gets you thinking all sorts of deep thoughts and asking God all kinds of questions.  I've been trying really hard for the last half of the week to just relax and enjoy the little blessings in my life instead of "sweating the small stuff".  Most of us know all too well that life can change in an instant.
So please take a moment over the weekend to just sit back and reflect on all the little (and big) blessings in your life.  Hug your kids a little harder, a little longer.  When your husband/wife starts to pluck your last nerve because of something minor - remember how lucky you are to have true love in your life.  When you talk to your Mom/Dad, don't forget to tell them how much you love them.  Call a friend that you don't get to talk to very much just to check in (I got to be on the receiving end of one of these calls today - miss you Tara!!).  Oh, and don't forget to thank God through the hills and valleys of your life - He's listening and He loves you through all of it!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!  I'm going to enjoy every blessing in mine :)

You all know chocolate makes the world a better place so go and request yours now :)

Giving Back...

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

If you ask me, part of living the fabulous life is giving back to your local community.  For those of you in the Northern VA area, here is an awesome opportunity to give back to our community...
You have probably heard about SERVE - a local organization that works "to address the immediate needs of families and individuals in crisis and offers them the stabilizing support they need to become self sufficient and build a better future."

On Friday, October 23rd from 4-8 pm, Manassas Baptist Church is hosting Empty Bowls to benefit SERVE.  This event costs $15 per adult and $10 per child.  You get to pick a handmade bowl to take home, dinner is served by several local restaurants, and there is live music, face art & raffles. Sounds like a great way to get a fabulous night out and give back to the community at the same time.  Hope to see you there!!

FREE Ice Cream today - and Support a Great Cause!

Going Out to Eat? Check this out...

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on ,

So, last night I was thinking about how I really need to put together some sort of list of restaurants where kids can eat free - or that have special deals.  And as fate would have it, today I get an email from my fabulous girlfriend Kathy with this link - a HUGE list of "kids eat free" deals!  This list breaks it down by days of the week and even lists the details of the deal.....  how totally fabulous is that?!?!  I'm SO bookmarking the website so I can check it out before we go out to eat.  The prices for kids meals seems to have been creeping up lately, so when I pay $6-7 for a kids meal and my son only eats 2 french fries I can't help but get annoyed (then my hubster feels obligated to finish the meal and complain about how he is going to get fat - yes, a fun night out to dinner for all!).  If I can go out for a decent dinner, get my kiddos dinners for free and then they only decide that they want to eat a few fries...........  I think I can live with that :)  But I will definitely NOT be telling my hubster that kids eat free at Hooters on Sundays!

*One thing I did notice is that the Mon/Tues deal for Logan's is not posted on the list.

Enjoy, and thanks again Kathy!!!

No Super Doubles at Harris Teeter this week :-(

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
WAAHHHHH :(  So I was totally disappointed when I got my weekly e-VIC email from Harris Teeter this morning.  They are back to their usual coupon deal - double coupons up to 99 cents.  Oh well, fingers are crossed for next week.

More posts to come later about the best deals from todays grocery ads.

I'm coming up Empty Handed today :(

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

OK, OK, so I was really hoping for some fabulous deals to post on here today but I am coming up empty handed.  I've spent WAY too many hours searching online for something great to post so you all won't think I've forgotten how to find a good deal......  and nothing!!!  How completely frustrating!  I guess I picked a great time to go out of town - and to recover from being out of town because I don't seem to have missed much.

I've been keeping an eye out for word on whether Harris Teeter is going to do double coupons up to $1.99 starting tomorrow, but I haven't been able to get confirmation on that either.  I even went there earlier (you know, for one last trip to cash in on triples) and while I was there I tried to pump the cashier for information...  nothing!  I ran into another employee in the parking lot on my way to the car and mentioned "maybe I'll see you all again tomorrow if you double up to $1.99 coupons like you usually do the week after triple coupon week."  She just smiled and gave me a "maybe!".  Guess I'll just have to wait for my morning paper or my weekly HT email, whichever comes first.

Yankee Candles Printable Coupons

HERE is a printable coupon for $1 tarts and votives at Yankee Candle.  These are great to use for holiday teacher gifts so stock up while you can - the coupon is good thru October 4.  There is also a printable coupon for $10 off a $25 purchase - this one is good thru October 17th.

Thanks Deal Seeking Mom!

I'm Back - Trying to Catch Up!

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
I'm back in town and playing catch up!  I will be posting some updates tomorrow since I will be spending most of my night and morning finding some deals for you all.  I have a suspicion that Harris Teeter will be doing double coupons up to $1.99 starting on Wednesday because they usually do that the week after triples, but I'll post something as soon as I'm sure.

Have a great night and I hope to overload you with fabulous deals tomorrow!

No Posts for Next Few Days

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
The hubster and I are going out of town Thurs - Sun on a motorcycle trip, so I won't be posting any updates on here until I get back.  I'm going to try to get 1 or 2 more on here before I leave, but just in case.....  wanted y'all to know what's up.  Don't miss me too much ;)  Feel free to mingle over to some of my fellow blogger's sites to look for some deals while I'm gone.
Vroom-Vroom!!!

If you find any other great deals, please post a note :)

Another HOT Printable Coupon - Huggies $2 Off

Click HERE to get your $2 off any Huggies Diaper Product - the link will let you print the coupon twice (just use the back button on your web browser).  The coupon says $2 off "any one Huggies Diaper Product", so these should be good on Huggies wipes also (since they are a diaper product).  If you use your coupons to purchase the Huggies 40-pk of wipes, you should be able to get them for FREE at Target or Walmart.
Thanks to Tara (again!) at Deal Seeking MomTara suggests using the coupons towards baby wipes, flushable wipes or changing pads to get your products for FREE or really cheap.

Couponing 101 - Part 4 - The Store Rules

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

This is something I've been talking about and wanting to put together for a long time -- the different store coupon policies.  Some stores have their policy posted online, in which cases I have posted a link directly to it.  I am also listing what I think are the most important specifics of their policies.  You may want to print out the store policies and keep a copy in your coupon binder/book/file just in case you run into a problem.  It always helps to have it ready in case someone doesn't want to accept a valid coupon from you...  unfortunately it happens from time to time.  It's much easier to shop without looking like a crazy coupon lady when you know the rules and are prepared :) Ready?  Here goes...

HARRIS TEETER (this is my interpretation, see specifics on their website HERE)
• Doubles coupons up to $0.99 every day - 20 coupon doubling limit per day per customer/household.  Additional coupons will be redeemed at face value only.
• Accepts coupons printed from the internet, however no “free” product internet coupons are accepted (BOGO)
• With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, they accept two internet coupons, per store, per day.
• Occasionally has specials when they double coupons up to $1.99 or triple coupons up to $0.99 - don't forget the 20 coupon doubling limit.  You can, however, go back several days in a row during these specials and use 20 coupons each day (I'm usuall there 3 or 4 days in a row!).
• They accept local competitors’ circular or direct-mail coupons for MONEY OFF THE TOTAL ORDER (ie: $5 off $25 purchase); they do not take competitor’s coupons for money off specific items.
• They also have a "scan guarantee" that states "If an item scans higher than the shelf tag or sign, you will receive one like item free, excluding alcohol and tobacco."

SAFEWAY (view specifics on printable coupon policy, see website HERE)
• Doubles coupons up to $0.99 every day
• Accepts coupons printed from the internet except for "free" items.  BOGO printable coupons ARE accepted.
• Does NOT accept printable coupons good for over 50% of the value of an item (ie: $1 coupon must be redeemed for item priced at $2 or more)

WEGMANS (coupon policy for VA & MD can be viewed HERE)
Doubles coupons valued at $0.50 or less
• Double or face value of a coupon may not exceed the price of the item purchased
• Only 4 manufacturer coupons may be doubled for the same brand product per day
• Only 4 manufacturer coupons for free products can be redeemed per day
• The face value or double value of a coupon may not exceed the retail price
• Does not accept printable coupons for free items - this includes BOGO coupons

GIANT (you can find more specifics HERE
• Doubles coupons up to $0.99.  In cases where the doubled coupon exceeds the value of the item, the offer is limited to the retail price.
• Their website says "We happily accept Internet coupons except in situations where manufacturers have alerted us to specific fraudulent coupons."
• Many locations have signs up indicating that they accept ALL competitor coupons (I know the Gaiesville, VA location does).

SHOPPERS FOOD WAREHOUSE
• Doubles coupons up to $0.99 every day
• Accepts coupons printed from the internet up to $1 in value (specifics posted HERE)

TARGET
Target has been very vague about their coupon policy in the past -- which I couldn't find online by the way.  However, Tara at Deal Seeking Mom emailed Target and posted the coupon policy that she received HERE.

Well, I think that covers most of the major grocery stores in the NoVA area.  If I left something out please let me know!  Hope this helps you on your couponing escapades!!  My fingers are crossed for a HT special doubles or triples soon :)

Nature Valley Coupon - Print this one ASAP!

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
*UPDATE - Thanks to John for leaving us a note.... this coupon is dead.  There was $1 off in the paper I got last week.  I'll post a link if I can find anything else online.
Thanks to Deal Seeking Mom for this one...  There is a $1.60 off 1 Nature Valley Nut Clusters printable coupon available HERE - you should print this now since a lot of manufactureres place print limits on their coupons, so you want to grab this while it's still available.  Print as many as you can (there's usually a print limit of 2 per computer, but I need to grab ink for my printer today so I don't know how many times you can print this one).  When Harris Teeter does their next coupon doubles for up to $2 coupons this coupon should get you some freebies!!

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on

Thanks to my girlfriend Emily for sharing this...
Calvary Road Baptist Church is having a huge children's conignment sale Saturday, 9/26, 7:30am-1:30pm.  This is the first time I've heard of this yearly sale, but she says that they have tons of great stuff from infant thru size 14, baby gear, toys, books, etc.  You can click HERE to get the details.  PLUS, 30% of the proceeds go to the Alexandria Crisis Pregnancy Center, so you'll also be supporting a great cause!

New printable coupons - get your printers ready!!

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
New printable coupons have been put up on several sites.  Check out the following sites for printable coupons to make sure you have the latest and greatest...
A Full Cup (click on "Target Coupon Generator" on the right side of the page)
Safeway coupons
Coupons.com - link from my side bar or all the way at the bottom of my page - click on "see all coupons"
Don't forget to check out CellFire - this site links to your store loyalty cards and links the discounts directly to your cards! That way you don't need to worry about printing up paper coupons, the discount is applied when your card is scanned at the register (for more info visit their FAQ page).  You can also send deals to your cell phone, but I'm not that technologically inclined (remember when it took me 3 hour to change the background on my webpage???) so I haven't tried that yet.
*If you are printing coupons, remember that you can change your printer settings to print in "grey scale".  That way you will only use black ink and will save your color ink cartridge (saving $$) - the coupons will still be good for use!

Walgreen's Deals - 9/13/19

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
If you live in my area (Prince William County, VA - Bristow area), make sure you grab a Sunday paper for this reason (and those 5 coupon inserts!)...  The Walgreen's ad had 2 great coupons good for use at the new Sudley Manor Drive Walgreen's location only - 1 for a $25 gift card with any new or transferred prescription and 1 for $3 off any purchase of $10 or more.
Now, on to the deals for this week...
Softsoap Nutri Serums Body Wash - 2 for $8
Get $4 RR when you buy 2
use (2) $1 off 1 Softsoap Nutri Serums Body Wash
= $1 each

Rimmel Eye or Lip Cosmetics  - BOGO
use (2) $1 off 1 coupon from this week's paper
= price varies

Cottonelle Fresh Wipes (42 sheets) - $1.99
use 1 BOGO coupon
= $1 each

True North Nut Crisps or Clusters - $3
Get $3 RR (limit 1)
= FREE

Listerine Mouthwash  - $2.99
Get $2 RR (limit 1)
= $0.99

Murine Ear Wax Removal System - $6
Get $6 RR (limit 1)
= FREE

Walgreen's TRUEresult Blood Glucose Monitoring System - $19.99
$19.99 mail-in rebate on box
= FREE after rebate

Triaminic Allergy, Sinus or Cold Relief - 2 for $10
Get $5 RR (limit 1)
use (2) $1.50 off 1 printable coupon *Unfortunately looks like this coupon is dead.  I can't get it to print.  Let me know if you have any luck.  Still a pretty good deal at $2.50 each
-or- you can use the $3 off $10 purchase at Sudley Manor Dr. location and get these for $1 each!  You know that's what I'm doing :)

*UPDATE - I went to the Walgreen's on Sudley Manor this afternoon.  The Soft Soap NutriSerums are going fast, Cottonelle Fresh Wipes were sold out, I couldn't find the True North Nut Crisps or Clusters...  However, I did get 2 Softsoap NutriSerums and 2 packages of Triaminic - used (2) $1 off Softsoap coupons and the $3 off $10 purchase Walgreen's coupon.  My total was $13.23 plus I got $9 RR (a $5 and a $4) for use towards a future purchase (next time these will be used to earn other RR so I spend less out of pocket).  I also got a FREE 3-pack of Hallmark cards which I didn't even know that I got until I got home and unpacked my bags :)  All in all my net was $4.23...  not too shabby!

You do not need a customer card to get Register Rewards at Walgreen's.  Register Rewards are good towards any future purchase, but are considered by Walgreen's to be a coupon - they require one item purchased per coupon, so in your purchase you must have an equal or greater amount of items than the amount of coupons and RR you are using.  Yes, I know this stuff gets confusing but believe me it gets so easy once you start buying stuff and seeing how it all works (really, it does, I promise!).

Safeway Tag & Save Contest

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
So there is this interesting new contest at Safeway that I read about over at Money Wise Moms today.  If you live in the DC Metro or Baltimore Metro areas, visit the customer service desk of your Safeway and ask for one of the above pictured "Tag & Save" decals.  The decal goes in the back window of your car.  Vans from 2 radio stations - Baltimore's Magic 95.9 and DC's Mix 107.3 - will be driving around to one Safeway store each day between 9/12 and 9/18 and they will choose someone to win a $1000 Safeway gift card!  HERE are the official rules, and of course you can listen to the radio stations to hear about how to get spotted.
You can so bet that I will be up at Safeway tomorrow morning to get my decal!!  I am up there at least once a day, so if they're going to be in my area I'd say my chances are pretty good.  Good luck!!!!

Old Navy Coupons - Update SOON!

Posted by Jen Ehrhardt on
UPDATE - It's 8am and no update yet.  If you have time to watch the site this morning, you may be able to snag a good coupon :)  I'm stalking it.... my luck it will update when I take the kids to the bus stop!  Well, coupons updated around 10:30ish - and the webpage never updated on my computer so I totally missed out on the high $$ ones.  Guess next week I'll try, try again!
Current Old Navy coupons expire today, so specultion is that the website is supposed to update within the next 24 hours - possibly before 10am tomorrow so the store won't be open without coupons being available.  Click HERE to start your search!  If you find any good coupons post a comment to let us know where you found it :) There are supposed to be $75 off $100 purchase coupons available on there this week, but they will go super fast.
DON'T FORGET...  when you find a coupon, you have the option to email the same coupon to a friend (so you will each get one - good for one time use).  Make sure you email it to someone (even if it's your husband or your 2nd email address) so you can share with a friend if needed - the good coupons run out VERY quickly!
For Old Navy coupon newbies, click HERE for details!  Happy hunting!!!
